This phenomenal book follows an American bomber pilot, Yossarian, stationed on a small island off of Italy during WW2 as he descends into madness. Or, as madness descends onto him. Heller does an amazing job of creating a sense of confusion that mirrors what Yossarian is experiencing in the war effort, highlighting the insanity of it all. It's a great read that I will likely come back to.
